Sales Manager - Mining Industry

Sales Manager - U.S. Mining Markets
This need is for a sales professional that will identify key U.S. Mining regions to sell to that include regions such as Wyoming, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky & West Virginia and other areas within the U.S.
This will be a highly visible role for my client as they proceed to feature their products in the mining market along with their existing clientele all over the world in the mining industry.
Purpose:
o Develop, grow & manage sales in the US mining market.
o Service area may be expanded to include eastern US and other markets.
Specific performance metrics:
o Health, Safety and Environment.
o Quality of Sales Plan developed.
o Sales closures.
o Sales per market segment.
o Customer satisfaction with your service as judged by them.
o Extent of strategic sales plans implementation.
o Quality of sales leadership demonstrated as judged by your
manager.
o Quality and timeliness of sales processes management.
Capabilities:
Knowledge
o Contemporary sales models and methodology.
o Understanding of US mining industry.
o Business and commercial practices in North America.
o Understanding of radar or similar technology.
o Understanding of procurement and supply practices.
o Network of contacts within target customers in US Mining field highly
desirable.
Technical Skills
o Fluent in English.
o Solution selling.
o Tender preparation and contract management.
o Commercial contract negotiation and closure.
o Competence in full use CRM system.

o Develop / maintain positive and professional relationships with
customers, potential customers and external suppliers in appropriate
markets.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
